SCHOOL GIFT TO PENANG
PENANG, Mon. The millionaire and philanthropist, Mr. Lim Lean Teng, has donated a 31 1/2-acre site for the building of a Chinese school in Penang.
The site, near the Penang Free School in the Green Lane and Batu Lanchang area, will be the largest school site in the Federation of Malaya.
The Education Department today described this as "a magnificent gift" to the Chinese children of Penang.
